About the Almanac

Fan project

Traveller's Almanac is an unofficial fan project for No Man's Sky players. It is not made by, affiliated with, or endorsed by Hello Games. No Man's Sky, its name, artwork and game data belong to Hello Games Ltd.

It is free to use, has no ads, and sells nothing.

What it is

A reference for traders and collectors. Market holds item values and per-slot worth. The Codex lists the game's items, technology, food, creatures and currencies. Planets and Profile are your own log, kept in your browser.

Where the numbers come from

Item values, stack sizes and recipes come from the game's data files. Income ranges on the Overview are player-reported, not game data, and sources disagree, so each method shows its check date. No source confirms buy prices in Market, so the Almanac does not show or calculate them. If a value can't be confirmed, it is left out.

Credits

The Codex is built on data from Assistant for No Man's Sky by AssistantApps, released under the GPL-3.0 license. Project: github.com/AssistantNMS/App. Website: nmsassistant.com. Their data is itself extracted from the game files, with thanks to the No Man's Sky modding community.

Prices and income methods are checked against community references and player reports. Thank you to everyone who shares what they find.

What is kept and what is not

Privacy

The short version

No accounts, no tracking, no ads. What you save stays in your browser.

What stays on your device

Your profile, pins, visited planets, sidebar state and settings are saved in your browser's local storage. They never leave your device unless you choose to share them. Clearing site data removes them.

Share links

Share my Almanac packs your profile and pins into the link itself. Nothing is uploaded or stored on a server. Anyone with the link can read what is in it, so share it like you would a note.

What is not collected

No analytics, no cookies, no fingerprinting, no account or email, no third-party trackers, and no data sold or shared.

Fonts

For now the page loads its fonts from Google Fonts, which means Google can see your IP address when the page opens. Fonts will be hosted on the Almanac's own server before launch, so this will stop.

Where it is hosted

This preview is hosted on claude.ai, which keeps its own access logs. That is outside the Almanac's control. This section will be replaced when the site moves to its own host.

If this policy changes, this page changes and the date below changes with it.
